This is what is in front of me as I type -- 45" multi-color necklace and pink button stud earrings I wore yesterday, and my ancient wooden mm ruler which is always within close reach:
I wonder what pearlie things are near you as you type?!

I will play!
A vintage sterling pearl brooch. Not 100% sure they are real pearls though. Probably Mikimoto inspired. I don't like it that much, but I am fond of it because it was my grandma's.
Thank you, Confection10. They are cute little party pearls. Here is the vendor description and photo. From Kojima Pearls, who also calls them firecracker pearls.

Right now? Eight necklaces of beautiful (dyed) black ripple pearls waiting to go on the website. We're having a real difficulty catching the range of colours.
(Ps When I started out those top drilled elliptical pearls were called dancing pearls.)

Here's what's in front of me. I'm sorting out projects (and making a wish list of pearls for Pattye to take to the upcoming Gem Faire).
And I'm deciding how to make my blue akoya strand nest with the white and blue one. In the past I've added the shortest extender in the world (just an extra clasp basically), but now I'm thinking of shortening the all blue strand instead. Now that I'm losing weight ( ), it's getting to be too long. Above the blue akoya strand is the extender I made from vintage dyed blue akoyas.
Flygirl, I'm lucky that my taxes paperwork is on my desk, where I can safely ignore it until I finish sorting my pearls!

Wow! I love seeing all these projects! Since I only buy finished pieces -- that's all that's ever around me (with the exception of a few loose pearls returned when I shorten a necklace). I know I should learn to string. I know I should...
