I saw this stone, and thought it was pretty, but it doesn''t quite look right to be a sapphire.

Though one can rarely be 100% sure from looking at a photo, I would be reasonably confident that this is a kyanite.

it could be a star blue quartz too..not sure of other blue stones with stars

The colour reminds me of a kyanite which would be my guess.
