What mounting style works best for catching the most light.

If I were to buy a dream stone and spend lots of $$$$, I would really want it show of its luster.Any shape or cut just a very nice stone.
What settings or mountings work best. Opinions please!!!

a really good quality high end color stone is going to hold up no matter the setting. however, i think i know what you''re talking about: spent good $$$$ on a good world class stone and even the pavillion is faceted like a diamond and you want to see the entire stone. well, that''s what happened to me with the spess from richard wise. i found a lot of design ideas on the internet that kept the pavillon open and viewable [is that a word?]. but i opted to design my own. such a setting isn''t going to protect the stone as well as more confining settings but if you''re not wearing the ring 24/7, who cares?
