Elevator at work here too. ALL my bling lights up like it's plugged in a socket. I could ride that thing for HOURS.

But seriously... right after it's all been cleaned and I put it on. Just love it. I adore the asscher now that it's properly set, it's so bright. I can't wait to get my studs... and get in the elevator.

THE best lighting situation I ever saw in the 3 years I''ve owned this ring, was in a piano bar that opened up in my town. Sadly, it was short lived, I was only there twice before it shut down. The ceiling was black, and it had hundreds of tiny white spot lights in it. OH MY. The first time I caught sight of my ring, I literally busted out laughing. It was like tiny little rainbow colored xmas trees all over the top of my stone, and they just shimmered like MAD when I''d move my ring. It was the most awesome entertainment I''ve ever gotten out of my ring. Unreal.

I wish they''d open it back up.

My center stone is not a diamond (yellow sapphire), but I have lots of pave diamonds on the setting... my fave places for sparklie shows from my ring are:

-Driving home from work
-Elevator at work (but I hardly take it)
-In direct 12:00 noon sunlight... my sapphire looks awesome in this light!
-Home Depot lights
-In select restaurants where they have the spotlight lighting from the smaller bulbs (I know this is very technical... forgive me

) My diamonds just shimmer like crazy and I can see every color in them... its mesmerizing!

i''ve only had mine for a month and a half or so but so far my favorite lighting for it is my walk in closet at home, elevators, edit rooms at work which are kept darkish, theatres, sunlight and the gym.

i could stare at it all day. my ring has paveish looking diamonds on the side (i think they are prong set actually) and they sparkle a ton too! looking at it right now as it type. looooove it.

I love artificial light.. when it throws rainbows! I does that in sunlight too, but it''s brighter out so it''s harder to see. I actually don''t know what the term of the light is called. But you know, the light that jewelry stores have..

Every morning about 7:45 am when I walk out the back door to work... the light filtering through our pergola just makes my diamond POP with glorious rainbow dispersion.

Every color imaginable. Yum! I could stand there enjoying that for hours (and be late to work!) every day!!!

definitely love the fire it gives off, I especially love looking at in under spot lighting in my kitchen light, office bathroom lighting or any restaurant lighting.

It''s always right after I clean it. it''s so bright and sparkly, and usually when we go out to eat it is the BEST lighting. It almost lights up from the inside. It''s not a large stone, but it''s got a massive sparkle!

Ellen - I had to laugh when I read this. As a fellow St. Louisan and someone who also shops at Shop-N-Save, I totally agree! I have been known to casually stare at my diamond in the grocery aisles!

My ring has such amazing fire... I get lost staring at it AT LEAST once or twice a day!!

After thought- The lighting at Lowes makes my ring EXPLODE with fire!! If you haven''t been, you should make a trip!

The fact that my DH told me that he "never wanted me to look at my ring and wonder why it was a bargain". That sentiment makes it sparkle all the more.

How funny, seriously I thought I was the only one who did this crazy lighting thing! LOL. I love the reflection of my ring in the windshield in the morning! I have nearly rear ended someone gazing at it though, so I do try to be careful! I wear my rings to the gym so I can look at them when I am on the eliptical. Forget that
whole arm motion thing tho- just the stationary hand bars- so I can look at the bling! But my most favorite is under a multi colored umbrella that fits in the
beach entrance of our pool- all the colors reflect and it is just gorgeous. I should post a pic of that, because it is one of the prettiest things I have ever seen.

i love staring at my eternity band while driving to and from work. the sun always hits my side, and i always catch the reflection of my hand through the side window. it''s especially fun to stare at it when i''m bored in traffic! if i have my windows rolled down, i''ll stick my hand out and stare at my ring in the side mirror.

yeah, i don''t know what it is about home depot, lowes and some parking lot fluorescent lighting but it sparkles like crazy! i catch myself staring at my band even when i''m reading too...my book light makes it pop! it''s hard to concentrate on what i''m reading though...

BF is scared to think how much i''ll stare at my hand when when i wear an e-ring. almost always, i''ll shove my band in his face (in any light) and go, "look! it''s sooooooo pretty!"

I had the same experience when I got my halo. COOL ISN''T IT. I still get them, so I KNOW with your stunning re-set you are going to have that feeling for a VERY long time.

Definately just the never-ending interplay of different colours.
My favourite lighting so far is under a shady tree on a sunny day -
best in the afternoon sunlight, about 2-3pm
