What made your day today?

Nothing today, but yesterday I was called to work in the wee hours of the morning for an emergency caesarian for twins. The patient and her husband has been trying via IVF to conceive for 9 years, and finally ended up pregnant with these twins. They said that this was it - no more IVF. Too much time, money, and more to the point, emotion. They were so drained, mentally and physically, and they just couldn't wait to meet their babies.

She successfully delivered a beautiful, healthy girl, and a bouncing baby boy. Instant family! It was awesome, even for 3 in the morning

Then I got a full paid day off because I was called in so early, which I spent with my gorgeous hubby. Yippee!!

For me, it was waking up an hour before my alarm went off, and realising that I could go back to sleep.

Ah! I love that

Today it was waking up at 7:30 and realizing that DD slept for three hours straight. I didn''t feel refreshed when I woke up but knowing we slept for that long made my day.

Holding a gorgeous golden retriever puppy in work today-she was absolutely beautiful.

Having lunch with two old friends. I haven''t met them for months due to obligations keep them away. But today we make time for us and they brought my favourite dessert, Beard Papa''s. Totally made my day.
