What kind of stud and size is this?

I don't know, it doesn't really look like a round shape to me. Kind of looks like an emerald cut/ baguette shape. It looks like it's sitting east-west on the ear in a few of the pics. Just a guess, hard to tell from the pics. I loved Miami Vice back in the day!

I'm showing my (lack of )age here,but were princess cuts popular in the early 80s?

I got engaged in 1983 and I dont remember a princess cut diamond when when I was drooling and dreaming about diamond rings matter of fact I didnt see one till probably the 1990's...not sure what shape that is..most likely it was round.

lol its a clearer photo but i cant see the earrings better. your guess is as good as ours as to what shape something is. but i feel its before princesses became popular

Not sure how closely it resembles Tubbs, but the authorized action figure from that time periood has a round earring. His little toy gun is advertised as an exact replica of the one Tubbs uses in the show. Seems like the earring could be a close match.
