What kind of setting is this, and can I add to it?

1. What kind of setting is this? I’ve yet to see any other ring like it.
2. I LOVE the ring and don’t want to change it, but I’d like to add to it. Is that possible? I was thinking maybe turning it into a triple split shank ring, so that the original ring would stay untouched, but more diamonds and yogos could be added to celebrate the passing years with my husband.
Is it possible?
Ideas?

HI:

Your ring is nice. And more is not better.

That said, you could have a ring guard made--with whatever stones you want.

Caveat: custom work is expensive. For "that" money I'd buy a larger eternity ring that you could wear together or stand alone But I am not in the drivers seat.

cheers--Sharon

I was looking at your ring and realize I have a ring that is very very similar. I would have to look at the appraisal that came with mine but I remember mine is platinum. I think the ring would just be called a halo style ring.
I think you could add to it by soldering pave bands to it on either side.
Here’s my ring.
