what kind of insurance

Hi Guys
Do i have to get some sort of insurance on my stone before sending out to a jeweler to set? If i do can you please tell me why and what type?

Jeweler's Mutual is the only place I know of that will insure the stone before it is set. You may have to provide the setting information, though. I'd call them and ask how to do it.

My recommendation as well. You provide a receipt for the diamond and for the setting and they insure the full amount during setting.
