What kind of band looks best with my halo?

I have the diamond band in the first picture but I think it takes away from the halo. I was thinking of getting a plain band for everyday wear and I think it makes the halo stand out more. What do you think? The second picture is the first band turned around, just to get an idea of how it would look. I would probably get a 3mm white gold band.

I prefer the plain band, as it let's your gorgeous ring be the star of the show.

I actually like the diamond band better....for a lack of a better term, I feel like the plain band breaks up the lines, vs the diamond band looks more like its part of the set.

^^ I agree!

Beautiful set!

I think the PLAIN band actually takes away from the halo...it stands out so much with your diamond-encrusted engagement ring and actually takes your eye off the e-ring. I would 100% go with the diamond band! :wavey:

I also prefer the diamond band. Maybe a slightly thinner diamond band might look even better.

Beautiful rings!

Ditto on the thinner diamond band idea. ;)

I also think you need a thinner diamond band...or just skip a wedding band altogether.

I agree with this.

I'm voting diamond as well... but what about a 2nd diamond band on the other side - both in thinner versions of your existing one? Maybe this ring could be a standalone on days you don't want to wear your ering, and the 2 thinner bands (pave perhaps?) could be the full out "BLING" days?

Lovely ering!!!

Of those shown, neither. A matching diamond band would be my pick. One that's the same width and design as one of the splits in your e-ring shank.

I think a thinner diamond band, perhaps milgrain bead set would work best.

I'm not a huge fan of either, both are a bit too wide for my liking. I'd choose a narrower diamond band or a more curved plain band, I don't think the flat top works as well as a curved band would.

This ... a thinner milgrained diamond band. I also like Addy's idea of a (thinner) slightly curved plain band.

I don't really like either. I think a plain band could work but that particular one I am not a fan of.

I'm in the same boat as yennyfire and prefer the plain option. I think a 2mm plain round band would be best- I feel a diamond band would throw off the balance of your double-shank e-ring by making one side heavier than the other.

A thinner more refined plain band would let them each have their say, and you can add diamond anniversary bands in the future without having them all bleed together.

I personally would also really like the option to wear plain + eternity/diamond bands together when you don't want the "topography" of your e-ring setting, but still want the "married" look of two rings...

I like the diamond band better but I would also consider not wearing a band with it because it is beautiful on its own.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their input!
