What jewelry piece would you buy with a $600 budget?

Longtime lurker here, first time poster. After a long, hard year, a birthday and a professional milestone, I'd like to buy myself a piece of jewelry. I have a self-imposed budget of $600. I'm thinking of a right hand ring (or two?), since I already have lots of earrings, but could be convinced to go for a necklace instead. Here are some parameters:

- Must be solid gold, no gold plate or silver.
- I'm all for lab gemstones (which is why I'm posting in this forum).
- My jewelry style is a little bit "funky" - I like interesting pieces with color or texture. I prefer colored stones to white stones.
- I'd like something that I can wear frequently, but it doesn't have to be so basic as to be "everyday" jewelry. In non-Covid times I work in a professional setting where women wear lots of jewelry.

I'm thinking of a cool gold ring with some texture or a lab stone band. But I'd love other ideas too! What would you buy for yourself with a $600 budget? It's obviously not a huge amount but hopefully I can get something nice! Thanks for any suggestions and advice!

Caf, thanks for the suggestion and for keeping an eye out!

Here are some items that are along the lines of what I'm thinking - although these are all in the $300 range so well below budget. Two lab gemstone bands and a funky gold band. Haven't done any research on quality of these, they're just things that have caught my eye while browsing the web.

I love the funky gold bands! They’re very versatile.

I'd definitely buy some killer antique ring! Sturdy & beautifully aged through time!

But it sounds like you're into the more modern artisanal pieces, I'd check out Etsy as they have some great artists there! Also if I could give you any one tip, it'd be to take your time. Don't let your desire to have something rush the process of finding that one piece that is perfect for you!

I love the green band!

Gonna see what else I would get! This is fun :)

I posted in the Antique & Vintage forum the other day, but I've been loving antique synthetic CS rings lately. They usually run $200-$400 on eBay, and are a big statement on a smaller budget.

I second this, there are endless lovely options!

Here are items on my Ebay watchlist that are quirky but fun.

I'm currently eyeing this 3mm etsy band (the thinner one) in diamond and white gold:

Thank you all so much, you've given me a lot to think about! I really like that Aurate crossover ring a lot. I'll be busy browsing Etsy for some other creative options... perhaps a crossover-style ring with some texturing?

Love the funky gold bands!
