Honestly, I have no idea (is that sad?)
I don''t have much of an idea, either. Mostly because at this point in my life, my focus is on raising my kids.

After the boys graduate and move out, I would love to be able to create an amazing garden and enjoy that for hours a day! I''d also love to spend a month in a cabin enjoying laying out on a tropical beach drinking pina coladas for breakfast. A long vacation like that, IMO, would be most enjoyed when the stress of watching over my kids is over. AFTER they''re out of the house! Plus it''s not best for them to see mommy with a delicious drink made with rum at 9 in the morning. It''s better to wait until at least 10 am.

LOL!! I do love my tipple too!!

I LOVE green luscious gardens!! I love English gardens, not so much the Japanese stuff, the latter is a bit too manicured!!

What kind of garden do you envisage, MC? I love that thread about what''s growing in PS''ers'' gardens.

If I had money money money, I would have a shelter for cats/dogs with tons of land, vets on staff, and find a way to take animals away from mills and bring them to the shelter. I''d also have a ginormous house and foster kids that have been abused/neglected and taken from their parents. I want them to know and experience the love they weren''t given. And find a way to prevent the abuse/neglect from happening in the first place. Iowa has a safe haven law for infants..I''m not sure what age it extends to. I''d like to have my own safe haven for them.
Awwww, bless you!! You have such a beautiful BIG heart.

I work with some charities for underprivileged (sp?) children and my heart just breaks every time I see them,

Same for cats and dogs. As a cat lover, when I see neglected / abandoned cats, I just feel so angry at the owners who allow their cats to get pregnant only to have their youngs thrown out to die on the street.

Haven, I think your idea is wonderful!

When I was a kid I went here for a couple of summers, and always wanted to return for one of their adult intensive classes. They only focus on crafts (and fine arts, when I was there), but there was a tremendous sense of community - in cooking meals together and reading stories as a group and sitting around a fire pit at night - and the chance to try something new (I did glassblowing and metal jewelry-making and woodworking and loom weaving). It was one of the best times of my life!

I''ve been fortunate that I''ve been able to accomplish everything I''ve really wanted to do so far (either that or I''m just good at setting small goals?), but sometimes I think it would be nice to design and write a video game. Not the programming part or the art design, just the storyboarding and actual writing.

DH and I were talking recently about how much we would LOVE to eventually own a bar that speclaizes in microbrews and wine with awesome cheese plates. We really love these kinds of places (and thankfully Philly has a few of them) and I think we would be good at it.

I used to say that I always wanted to be an event planner but after planning my own wedding I am thinking that I still wouldn''t mind it but I wouldn''t want to do weddings- or at least not have it be my only kind of client.

So I guess you could say that my lifelong dream has been to do something that I considered fun for a living. I do like my chosen career (in composite materials) but its not as ''fun'' as owning a bar or being an event planner.
Owning a bar is great, but it''s still a job just like any other job. It''s fun sometimes, but a lot of times it''s not as fun as you think. I own a bar in Philly, but not a microbrew bar, just a neighborhood corner bar. I put 80+ hours of work in a week, and even when you''re not there, you''re doing stuff for it. I haven''t yet gone into the bar today but put in a full 8 hours already. Not trying to bust your bubble, but just being realistic. I love what I do, but it''s definitely not for everyone.
