Angel food cake, Italian cream cake, German chocolate cake, coconut cake, carrot cake, tres leches cake, anything apple, anything peach, anything vanilla.....

One of my friends sent me a piece of her wedding cake from Ireland. It took a week to get here and I didn''t eat it, but it was SO special just having it here.

Oooh that sounds yummy. I love apple crisp, or cobbler, and key lime pie.

Warm apple crisp is so delicious. It''d be second on my list of favorite desserts.

Too many to mention.

Hands down, chocolate mousse! Then again, I guess everything with lots of chocolate will do.

I really need to hurry up and make a tres leches cake... and think about Harriet's Ispahan...
Yeah! And send me some! Hahaha-I can see my fiance walking in on me stuffing my face with a week-old tres leche cake!

Him: 'Where'd you get that?'

Me: 'My internet friend sent it to me! The milk's a little curdled but it still tastes okay!'

Hahahahahaha Thing2!!!! I totally would send you some too!!

Harriet I think I'll have to hit up the tres leches cake before I do the Ispahan.

Because the ingredients for it are a lot easier to get my hands on.

I have a huge list of my favorite desserts...including angel food cake with fresh strawberries, creme brulee, warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, hot granny smith apple pie with cinnamon struesel and vanilla ice cream, coconut cake, chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven, shortbread cookies, sable cookies, blueberry pastry cream tartlets, coffee ice cream with toffee, pretty much anything with caramel, cheesecake with fresh berries...I am going to stop now.

ETA: white chocolate mousse with raspberry coulis, and fresh raspberries.

I have such a long list of favorite sweets...I love all things sweet. My favorite desserts really have to do with my mood.

Simple comfort dessert: Rice krispie treats (my local super Target has the BEST ones)

Chocolate heaven: Flourless chocolate cake

Ice cream: Better batter or chocolate better batter from Maggie Moo''s...but nothing beats hazelnut gelato in Italy

Fruit: Bananas Flambe or apple cobbler

Pie: French silk, strawberry-rhubarb, pecan (LOVE pecan with chocolate chips...oh my)

I''m not really a cookie fan, though a doughy chocolate chip is never turned down here :) I love cheesecake swirl brownies (my wedding cake bakery makes ones that are better than you know what) and cookie bars. Yum.

Oooh, and chocolate dipped strawberries or stawberries with fresh whipped cream

Okay...I just gained 10 lbs from listing this!

Chocolate.

Just made FI go out with me to get some earlier..

Tiramisu, Cherry Pie, Peach Cobbler, Coldstone Birthday Cake Remix ice cream, Tres Leches Cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory, Creme Brulee, Carrot cake without coconut...The list could go on for days....

Creme brulee, ice cream, basically any warm and gooey baked good covered in melty vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

The only thing I''m not a huge fan of is cake (unless it''s warm lava cake with ice cream, see above). I usually pass on cakes at birthdays and parties.

DH annoys me because he does not eat dessert at all. I just don''t understand how that can be! Plus, I can never order dessert at a restaurant to share, and I end up having to eat the whole thing if I make something at home - the hardship!

Although I''m not a massive dessert person (would rather have a starter), I cannot resist profiteroles if they are on offer. They are so so so tasty!

BROWNIES!

Fun thread! (Making me hungry, though!)

I am a CHOCOLATE LOVER, and the darker and richer the chocolate the BETTER. OHDEARORD, sometimes I get cravings for chocolate so bad that I have been known to send out the poor DH in the middle of the night. (And I wasn't even pregnant!

)

I love ooey-gooey chocolate confections... especially brownies and cookies... warm, with chocolate chips, and walnuts... some ice cream and more chocolate syrup would be nice too, please, sir...

And also fruity stuff... homemade pies, cobblers, crisps, etc. Yum yum yum.

But ***sigh***... like the the !#%* BUDGET for diamond-buying, the !#%* (perpetual) *maintentence* DIET I live on doesn't allow a wonderful ooey-gooey wonderful treat everyday

so I usually limit it to once or twice a week.

In the meantime, fruit smoothies from my blender actually do a fair substitute... and (although somewhat high calorie), at least they are no-fat and nutritious, too!
