Our is somewhere around $70pp for 100-115 guests when all is said and done. We''re having it his country club and the food is amazing. This includes beverages, wine and beer (we decided aganist having hard liquor because we have a few heavy drinkers who tend to get a bit too ridiculous when they''ve had too much to drink), a champagne toast, cake cutting, a buffet style dinner with prime rib (live carver), and another entree (we haven''t decided what yet). Also includes salad, bread, and 2 sides. We''re also having a cheese and fruit display and 2 or 3 butlered appitizers during cocktail hour. All linens and stemware are included. We can even use their wedding cake stand and carving utensils, basically anything that the club owns, we have use of. We also get the reception and wedding venue free, there''s no deposit required, and no one pays until AFTER the wedding (because it goes on his company''s account). Luckily his parents will be picking up this tab because otherwise we couldn''t afford it plus everything else. We don''t get a wedding coordinator per say, but the guy who is helping us out will be there and he''s just amazingly good at knowing the best places for things and has done tons of weddings.

We''re having ours in Richmond, VA and I can imagine the cost would be much higher elsewhere in Richmond (I did some searching before we decided on the country club and prices were over $100 all the way on up to 300+ pp, depending on your location), but since his company is a member of the country club we get a great deal!

I'm marrying in Cleveland, Ohio at a nicer Cleveland venue, but not the most costly or extravagant.

Adults- $90. This includes food, bar, cake, linen chair covers & ties, ceremony fee ($1/pp), security, tax, gratuity. The venue also throws in fresh flower centerpieces and tealights (very plain, we're doing our own).

Kids- $35. Kids meal, cake, soda bar, and same misc. fees as 'Adults.'

There's a wedding "coordinator" at the venue, but he/she doesn't do much besides set up centerpieces, escort cards, and a gift table.

We are paying drinks on consumption, so this figure is based on our drinks deposit. Small DW at fancy resort in Palm Cove - around $330pp, but we only have 18 guests, so that skews the price.

Hmm, we rented a winery, so I'm going to have to add all our costs to get a pp rate:

Food: 85$/pp - for a sit down dinner made by a very well known chef, hors devours, cheese and fruit station.
Alcohol: 30$/pp - we only did wine from the winery and beer from a microbrewery, open bar and based on consumption.
Rentals: 70$/pp - including the very basics: linens, chairs, cutlery and china.

Total: 185$/pp not including tax and gratuities.

Big change. Our per person rate has changed to about $120 per person just for food. Speaking of, I really need to figure out the menu...

Where I live, NOBODY does a sit down dinner, even those with unlimited budgets. It is just the tradition to do a buffet or stations-it is considered more fun.
We are eloping, but my parents are throwing us a party after. It will be 200-250 people, and will cost roughly $100 per person. $25 for bar, $50 for food, $25 for rentals. The rentals really threw me-I had no idea they would be a big part of the cost.

I can''t believe the price difference between places.

Our venue costs £80 (about $130)pp for canapes and 3 course dinner. It also includes a glass of wine. The final cost will be over £100, as we will have full open bar (which is rare over in the UK) and will upgrade the wines and also have cocktails. The cost of a glass of a good cava or prosecco is £8, never mind champagne! That doesn''t cover cake either, which is separate.

$126 per person included all food, rentals, linens, setup and breakdown, staff, a bartender, DOC, tax, and gratuity.

We saved money by supplying the alcohol ourselves. It cost around $450 for 38 people and our bartender got us a 15% discount. So alcohol was around $12 pp, bringing our total to $138 per person.

The going rate at my place for 2010 weddings is about $125/person, but our guestlist is bigger than most of their weddings, plus we negotiated in May for my June 2010 wedding down to $90/person for a guaranteed 200 people (not including tax and gratuity). We will likely end up with 225.

Price per head includes:
6 passed butler appetizers during cocktail hour
cheese and fruit stations
4 course sit down meal
cake (provided by one of two choice bakeries)
basic table linens (my mother will make overlays)
silverwear
5 hour-open bar (including cocktail hour)
champagne for toast
one red and one white wine during dinner
candle votives for each table (our florist will do the rest)
chivalry chairs
