I had this come up in one of my ads on the net. What is this cut? It's like between an OEC and Round brilliant? It's weird! I wonder how it looks in person. Has anyone ever seen something like this?

IGI lab is thought of quite highly around the world. Here in the UK they are more widely known than GIA. GIA is an American lab. They are world reknowned but still their letters stand for Gemological Institute of America. I once asked a jeweller in a city in uk for a GIA diamond, this was the best jeweller in that city and they had only one, the owner told me that IGI was as good as GIA and they did not know when they would get another GIA report in as only I had asked about them. The stone with the GIA was half a carat and I wanted bigger. Still don't see many GIA reports a few more maybe. I remember vendors saying IGI are most popular now in China where diamonds are popular now too.

Some idealscope type apparatus shows diamonds differently. It is not the best diamond but 2 carat for the price is not bad at all.

The table does seem big though. Although larger tables are more popular in Europe than in America. Larger table makes diamond look bigger.

=large table reflection, lack of contrast, obvious leakage under the table

look how yellow the stone is, even face up.

It is intesting that how a badly cut diamond can look cool in some lighting conditions

Hahaha has anyone noticed the optical illusion in the video? Just watch the center of the stone...then voila. It makes NO sense how to follow the center in the video. It's bizarre

I have seen it, too! The thick girdle and 68 depth make it face up like a 1.5-1.6 ct stone, and it's pretty out of round, too. Very strange stone!
