There seems to be the potential for a good price on some medium blue stones. How will this medium blue in a G clarity/SI1 stone effects its appearance?

Will it look good in a platinum setting?

I prefer it Spic

It should be great! It will most probably face up like a nice F color. Just make sure that the SI 1 is eye-clean.

This is good to know there was a nice stone at a good price with a medium blue but...alas its been sold.

Gotta keep looking.

Thanks

Medium blue is cool, does not give off bad vibes and sometimes cost a little less. Go for it!

We're actually quite partial to medium blue fluorescent diamonds even in the D color range... Practically every one of our personal diamonds exhibits medium or strong blue fluorescence... We don't seem to sell much of it on-line because people tend to be hesitant to buy what they can not see... At least with clarity, color and proportions grades you can get an idea of what to expect 'off paper' but there really isn't a way to accurately judge fluorescence and the effect that it has upon a diamond without seeing it... But in our store, people tend to lean towards diamonds with medium blue fluorescence because they can see it and tend to think that it is a pretty cool effect.
