Rolled gold is a sheet of alloy (eg 10k) on the outside of brass or other workable metal.
P usually stands for plated, and is an inferior product in that RG has a known and measurable thickness of gold over the cheap metal.
But these days HGP = hard gold plating is more durabel and can be thinner but last a long time because the electro plating process can be controled to make a harder gold layer.
watches that last for +10 years of every day wear are a good example
