What is my gift worth??

I was recently given a gift from my grandmother; her wedding set. I used to play dress up with them when I was a little girl. Im all grown up now and now they are really mine. At my good friends New Year''s Eve party a girl noticed the sparkle from across the room. She has had some background education in diamonds (how much? who knows....) But she mentioned to me that it looks very similar to a mine-cut diamond. This may be true, my g-ma was married in 51 and its a brilliant today as it was the day it was placed on her finger 52 years ago. If you have any advice for me.. please respond. Thank you
