What is Christine Lagarde Wearing?

I'm in love with Christine Lagarde's jewelry collection. Her style fits me to a "T. "Here's a photo of her wearing a gorgeous pearl and diamond pendant necklace with matching earrings. I'd love to emulate this look. Are these white south sea pearls? What do you estimate their measurements to be?

I found these Miki's on my local jeweler's website and they look similar. Do you think this is what she's wearing? (One's a 10mm and one's a 13). Thoughts?

Edit. I see it now. Yes, likely a SSP given the size. (mind you FWP are also found in that size.)

In general, I really like the luster of both Mikimoto and Tiffany Akoya pearls. Even though they are overpriced, to me, their luster is better than other pearls I've seen which are supposed to be the same rating. I have no idea how their SS pearls compare as I don't own any and haven't done any side-by-side comparisons.

My husband bought me a strand of Mikimoto pearls about 6 years ago. Although I could have bought a similar necklace at one of the pearl vendors mentioned here at a significant cost savings, I just think the luster and quality of the Mikimoto is outstanding. It’s not the look you are going for, but I’m attaching a picture for reference.



I’d recommend going with Mikimoto if you consider it a special necklace.
