I found a beautiful diamond but under symbols, it shows a cavity near the girdle of the diamond. Does this signify an indent or is it like a feather? Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!

A cavity is a hole into the stone. It may be very tiny, but it may be larger, too. Have someone show you the extent and location before you buy. It could be insignificant and a good way to re-identify the diamond.

Hi,
A cavity is hole in the surface of the diamond. It is usually a pulled crystal or a negative crystal. Some cavities are huge and others are almost impossible to find. The only real negitive drawback is the hole sometimes collects dirt and needs to be cleaned often.
