What if a "knot" reaches the surface at the girdle?

I came across a SI1 that has what I think is a "knot" that reaches the surface at the girdle. I viewed the cert on-line so I didn''t get to see the inclusion plot, but the jeweler described the inclusions as crystals, which were whitish and under the star, upper bezel and girdle facets (not under the table). When I looked at the girdle it was uneven and looked bumpy right there, but I couldn''t feel anything with my fingernail. This was a very small area on the girdle, by the way, not a large area at all.

Would this be a type of inclusion to worry about or is it common and *acceptable*? How would you set it; prong on top of the "bumpy" area of the girdle or right beside it like you do with an indented natural?

If what I''m describing doesn''t sound like a knot that reaches the surface, what else do you think I might be looking at?

Dee*Jay here is a thread where you can see what our experts had to say about naturals, search brings many others but this one has a picture too.

Thanks for the link. I had read this thread a while ago when I got my oval, which has an indented natural on the girdle, so maybe I am just seeing a natural and got thrown off when I started reading about knots thinking it was something other/worse than what it is.
