What do you think of this Mahenge Garnet?

I'm going to do something I normally won't do.

Word of warning about this vendor(s). They are actually three brothers from Pakistan living in Bangkok and while they do have some very nice stones, I had western dealer friends tell me they have sent as many stones back as they have kept. While these brothers will honor returns their videos often surpass their stones in real life and their customer service once you send back stones is poor to say the least.

Just a friendly warning to the wise.

Wow! Thanks a lot for the warning. I had never bought anything from this vendor before. Just saw the stone in my feed and liked it.

You are welcome!

Yes, the stone looks lovely but oversaturated. This may be due to the strong tropical sunlight that makes warm and hot colors look more vivid. It may be a very nice stone but I bet the whole nine yards it is darker than its picture in person especially if you live in a non-tropical zone.

I've looked at many of their videos and they use the tropical sunlight to their advantage or strong undiffused LED light to make the stones sparkle all the more. While using LED light is good to show dispersion off and many homes and businesses have different types of LED light this vendor(s) slams the LED lights on like a Kiss concert.

I'm just saying beware, as I've heard many mixed comments about them from very reliable sources.

Super useful and no doubt you have saved me some potential heartache by sharing the feedback. I may have bought something from them in the future because they do show nice looking stones. I had to laugh at the Kiss concert lighting! That is no doubt why their stones look as nice as they do. Ugh.

I have a trick to overcome this as we deal with dozens of dealers with WahtsApp images and videos.
I ask them to sit the gem on a phone with the photo of the stone that they sent me.
Stark differences are common.
Of course they can cheat - but they get the message.
