I''m going this week to eliminate some dresses I''m considering from my list before deciding on a final one. I''ve been looking at this dress by Bill Levkoff and wanted opinions.

For bridesmaids?

Oh sorry. Not for bridesmaids, for me although that is a bridesmaid dress.

you''re suuuuure you don''t want to do white? i have a friend who got married when she was 5 months pregnant and wore a gorgeous, flowy white empire-waist gown that looked so amazing on her....

yay! Then I think the dress you posted is nice, but I also think you can do better. When''s the wedding? And how pregnant will you be? And what kind of neckline/sleeves/straps/straplessness are you looking for?

I like it...it''ll be roomy enough for you too. That said, I''d LOVEEE to see you in a romantic flowy empire dress, with a baby belly bulge and rosy cheeks...*sigh* I can already picture it in my head

oops. clearly i can't handle quoting posts. very clearly.

I think ivory is a gorgeous color when it comes to wedding gowns! And I agree with everyone else, that dress is beautiful, but a flowy gown that accentuates your baby bump would be so beautiful. Did you try dresses on in that style?

I love it, Fiery! My only concern is the gathered effect happening in the belly area. How far along will you be at your wedding? I think flowy might be more comfortable and flattering.

I think a flowy gown will be better. I''m not a fan of structured gowns with a belly pooch if you know what I mean! This one even on the model makes a pooch.

Ditto to the flowy gown. You would look like such a goddess in a soft, empire-waist confection. A chiffon top layer or other "ethereal" fabric would be amazing.

See? On the David''s Bridal dress guide they said that this gown can conceal a big tummy!!

Or this is pretty, too (but the bow might be horrendous...)

The first is more what I had in mind for you (not ever having seen you or met you :)!

Totally 100% agree! While I do like this dress I think an empire waist would be a very nice choice if you have a little bit of baby belly on your big day!

Expecting women are so beautiful!! I''ve often (secretly) wished I''d be expecting on my big day just to have that added glow

I''ll look for flowy gowns!

I don''t think I''ll be far enough to actually show, except for the belly I already have

If my calculations are right and if God willing everything goes well, then I should be about 18 weeks.

Dresses are not exactly my area of expertise. I only own 1 dress which was my graduation dress...oh and my bridesmaid dress for my friend''s wedding. I don''t even own skirts so I''m lost. I''m going to try to make it to David''s Bridal tonight if I get off early enough to try some that I''m thinking of.

These three dresses I''m thinking of trying on tonight. The last may not work but we''ll see.

I also would love to see you in a flowy dress!

Check these ones out. So cute!

Dude -- this website (Maternity Bridal) is unexpectedly wonderful!

Okay, I''m going to stop now until you actually ask for my help. I got carried away...

I don't mind. If I wasn't ok with poking I wouldn't put it out there LOL

We'll say it before. I was mostly concerned with what my mom would say but she's being supportive so I'm ok mentioning it to everyone else.

In my family we have a lot of babies and only 2 marriages. Pregnancy before marriage is sort of the norm. I'm not proud of our actions and I wanted to wait until after marriage but we still feel blessed.

BigT- I need help so keep them coming LOL

The David''s Bridal dress is gorgeous!! I also love the middle dress you posted as well!

Absolutely nothing to be not proud of IMHO! I think it''s absolutely fabulous. I was curious if you were going to make it a suprise announcement at the reception - I saw that done on Who''s Wedding Is It Anyway and even though I knew she was pregnant from the beginning when they did the big announcement during their reception I started bawling - I''m a bit of a baby goof and tend to cry whenever people announce their pregnancies - I can''t help but be happy for any couple expecting! Super mega congrats to you and I can''t wait to see pictures of you in your dress!!!

I''d go with the empire waist...who knows how baby-lush you''ll be come Feb!

They had one where they announced the sex at the reception, I cried!!

Anyway, someone on PS HAS to wear the Pronovias Clara. It''s too freakin beautiful not to be worn by someone!!!

That Pronovias gown is gorgeous sunnyd. I've always loved it!

Last week on the soap I watch (General Hospital) there was a wedding and the bride was pregnant. I thought her gown was gorgeous for being pregnant.
Here is a link to the gown she was wearing. (There are various photos) Not sure who the designer is. But I think it's a gorgeous gown.

And incase that link doesn''t work. Here she is in the dress....

From the side. (She is supposed to be 9 mo. along though......)

I loved that pronovias, too, but I was on a much stricter budget than their prices! I second (or 40th is more like it!) everyone on the flowy dresses because you never know how big that belly may be by 18 weeks--out of two friends of mine, at that point, one didn''t even look pregnant, and the other looked ready to pop by then, so there''s really no telling! also, as far as the flowy dresses go, i have a big beer gut, and they camouflaged that really well; i wound up going with something else, but i regretted it, so i''d definitely try some of them on! i looooove this one
