What do you think of this cushion?

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/3662

(You can also look at the video of it, which you can find a link to in the upper right corner. It is the one on the far left. The .81, which is on the far right is pretty cute, also.)

I''m looking for something that will do somewhat chunky color and lots of fire. I''m not too much into white light but Love fire. How will do for fire?

It appears to be a cushion brilliant. Does a cushion brilliant give more chunky color than a modified cushion brilliant?

Thanks.

Looks nice to me! And yes, usually a regular cushion brilliant will be a bit chunkier than a modified...but not always.

Thanks Neat.

You know, I always get stuck for a few minutes looking at that beauty in your avitar.

Hehe. Thanks. I stare at it all the time.

But ya know, my first love was a .81 cushion like the one in the video...it had a bit of an accident a few months ago, but Mark @ ERD is resetting as we speak and I should have it back soon. LOVE cushions.

That is one of my favorite cushions that I''ve seen online, it should be plenty fiery! I say go for it

I''m not sure, but I think the .81 in that video is no longer available...

I looks great! Did he tell you it was eyeclean? That would be my only question... Other than that, gorgeous!!

Thanks all. Yes, it is eye clean.

I hope Storm will look at it for me . . .

No need for Storm. Really, it is a great stone. I promise you'll be happy with it if you are seriously looking.

Yes, Midwest, that .81 is no longer available, you are correct.

Thanks Neat. I know, still somehow the Storm seal of "kickin" approval would be nice. He always has great insight.

And, I just bought it ! ! !

Pretty stone! Good luck, can''t wait to see pictures.

You are going to LOVE this stone.

Jon did a video for me to compare it to a round and PoH and this little beauty caught my eye. The vid should still be on GOG''s website. Because I''m super anal in wanting a perfectly square cushion, l purchased a different stone and let this little pretty one go. It''s almost a carbon copy of my current stone (seen as my avatar).

I''m not an expert but I bet you are going to love it! It looks great to me.

Thanks Chrono.

Oh, look at that. My new diamond is in several movies on the GOG site.

Did you buy that PoH? It''s wonderful. I think it does even larger chunks of color than mine.

I love squares also. Now, I read recently that a cushion a little touch less square will have the effect of having it less resemble a round at first glance. That would happen more often with the rounded corner cushion than it would with the cut corners in the PoH. That made sense to me so I''m o.k. with this. (It has a l/w ration of 1.07.)

Wow, thanks for the compliment ! What are your ideas on how you might set this cushion. I know, highly individual, but just wondering. I''m now thinking of the Tacori 2620 (with pave on the shoulders) or a very simple but geometric art deco that I saw.

I also prefer fire over brilliance and that one looks like it''ll be a firecracker.

Lol. NOPE! We need you for the asschers! They are harder to analyze than cushions IMO (assuming you have pics of the cushions).

I get nervous at you "threatening" that. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,no, no. NO.

When you posted your question on if changes in our types of light bulbs will spur changes in our types/cuts of diamonds, I thought what-a-very-cutting-edge-progressive thinker. And that's you.

Thanks again.
