My budget is around $4,000, so do you think this is a good stone for the value? I'm looking for around a carat princess cut diamond for our anniversary and I'm having such a hard time finding a nice clean stone. Many thanks!

Not enough info to judge the cut performance.

You're right, it's certified by GIA, which doesn't grade the cut. But I'm not finding any AGS certified diamonds in my price range. So I'm taking a risk on cut, but can return within 30 days if I don't like the ring in person. Other than that, I would highly appreciate your opinion.

Another princess cut lover :) yay!

I wish I would have known PS before we bought mine over 6 years ago.

With other PScopers opinion, you will find a great stone, goodluck!

I'd suggest going with a vendor that provides pictures and/or more information about the diamonds. Buying and returning a stone without seeing it first is just more risky. Here are a few I found at James Allen that may be worth looking into (I'd ask them for ASET images). I'm not sure what your color and clarity goals are, but these are a few different combinations...
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/F-SI1-Premium-Cut-Princess-Diamond-1344007.asp - 1.00ct F/SI1 (ask if eye-clean in addition to ASET)
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/I-VVS1-Premium-Cut-Princess-Diamond-1355143.asp - 0.90ct/I/VVS1 - I color can save you a lot of money if you're not color-sensitive (I personally can't tell the difference between my I princess and my SIL's F)
http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/G-VS1-Ideal-Cut-Princess-Diamond-1371072.asp - 0.90 G/VS1 - good compromise between color, clarity, and size
