QUITE a different perspective in that video. From that angle, doesn't bother me either.

It would show blue in ASET if it was going to be a problem.
So no, the bow tie is not a deal killer.
I expect the dark zones would add to the sparkle during movement and not be persistent.

Think of them as arrows in a h&a round.
Some are dark a lot of the time, some not at all past a couple inches.
Doesn't matter if you shift them n-s like some branded cuts do they are still the same.
Does that help you understand them better them from an obstruction stand point?

Something that will not change is that they flash different than the rest of the stone and some people pick up on it.
They are large virtual facets surrounded by small to tiny ones.
A h&a round has some medium virtual facets to help them blend in more where they stand out as different than a pear.
So red in ASET means face up they are not likely dark in normal viewing, tilt em just so and you might catch them dark as they flash from dark to light which is unavoidable.

I am not a fan of this stone, one edge lacks brightness and there is a lot of mush* just outside the center then towards the tip.

*mush = the ratio of light returning areas is low compared to the ineffective areas when a lot of small virtual facets(dots of light) are present.
