Ms. Dreamy- I LOVE the Cartier...just wondering though, where did you find it on the website? I checked and didn''t see it. I''m thinking of stopping over tomorrow afternoon to see it in person.

yay! scarlet, you have to tell me how it looks in person after your trip to cartier!!!
36.gif

they have it already for a while: I saw it a few months ago and it is still on their website (I got the picture there yesterday) but it was tricky: it is not listed in the german website for example - so maybe they don''t have it in the US website as well. check out the ''europe''-''english'' homepage - there you''ll definitely find it!

are you looking for it as a wedding band? what do you think about it as a stacked RHR???
I am looking for a wedding band to go w/ my Leon. The other option is a Tiffany''s Lucida band. I do like this option since it''s slightly "different." I''ll let you know what I think after tomorrow, and if I think it would look good stacked.

Hi there-
I tried this on today. It was very pretty but I don''t think it''s really slight "knife-edge". It''s more flat on the sides and rounded on the top (the Ballerine wedding band). I ended up buying the Novo plain band just in case prices go up and will compare the two next week when I go back to Cartier.

I do think it would be pretty to stack with but the new Novo may actually be better. And I don''t think if you stack them people will think it''s a wedding band.

Hi Scarlet
thanks for the news!

oh my, you tried on the wrong band

I know the ballerine band (that flat one) but that''s not the one I''ve posted here. I don''t know the name of the band I''ve posted here, but it''s definitely not the ballerine band. (But the ballerine band is a beauty too).

concerning the prices I can already tell you that cartier''s (both, the ballerine and the one I am looking for) are more expensive than the tiffany''s!

btw. is it true that tiffany''s prices are going up???

I am planning to buy my first celebration band within the next 2 months... now I''m really worried!

So odd! I actually had the sales rep (in the NYC store) go onto the Cartier England site and she told me it was just the photo''s lighting and there isn''t a "slight knife edge." She said the one in the photograph was the Ballerine!

Prices at Tiffany''s are going up tomorrow for sure, and from what I hear pretty significantly.

Ooh, any pictures of the set?

hmmm, that''s weird. so maybe there is more than one version of the ballerine ring - what I doubt in some way... Sorry if I''m wrong, but I think the sales rep made a mistake.
I''ll find it out on my next trip to cartier - but that''s maybe too late for your purchase because I''ll be there somwhere in the next two months when I''m going to Tiffany''s anyway.

oh no! Tiffany prices are really going up - TOMORROW!!? yieks! that means I have to save even more money for my celebration band. That''s too bad

I agree that it is hard to mistake a ring on the right hand as a wedding band....in fact I used to wear a plain silver band for years....

Were you not interested in the Metro ring? (I apologize if I am confusing you with someone else). I personally would go with any ring that is stackable
27.gif
then you can eventually get more than one

I wish I''d already have that beauty - I haven''t purchased the ring yet. I just wanted to discuss here if It would look like a wedding band even if worn on my RH as a stacking ring before I spent so much money. I love the ring but at the same time I am worried that people might assume that I''m married when I am wearing that plain classic band stcked with eternities.

I guess you are right and I am maybe worrying too much
2.gif
.
Yes, I am interested in the metro band
30.gif
- so I''ll concentrate on my next tiffany purchase first and buy the cartier plain band after that (so I''ll already have more stacking-options
9.gif
)
I want to buy 2 tiffany bands in the near future: the legacy with diamonds and pink sapphires and the metro in rose gold. I think I''ll get the legacy first because it might be good to stack with the cartier band as it does not look that much like a "classic" wedding band-eternity.

But now I am concerned about tiffany''s prices to go up... that would mean I''ll have to wait even longer to save the $$ for the cute little bands...

Yep, I was told prices are going up 15%...

Looks like the Metro went from $1650 to $1750, which is not TOO bad...

I think, on the right hand with other rings stacked, it is great. No issues, looks like the middle of a stack ring. Very elegant.

These price increases annoy me. Everything I buy lately, from Chanel clothes or bags, LV bags, jewelry, is all insane. Bah humbug.

Thanks for your opinion on my ring choice. oh boy, the price increases... so let''s hope that at least cartier will keep its old prices, huh?

Wear it on your r- hand. It''s totally up to you. I sometimes where a bandish looking ring on the right hand. It will look fine.

Ms. Dreamy, the prices at Cartier went up in March. I just got the trinity in pave diamonds and they told me it was going to go up and it did.
