I am close to pulling the trigger and purchasing a diamond and proposing to my long time girlfriend on vacation next month. I have been doing my reserach for a couple months now and have narrowed my selection down slightly. My budget is around $20k and in general order of importance (to me and her) this is what I am looking for:
1)Carat - 2ct give or take a little
2)Cut - highest possible
3)Color - G or H
4)Clarity - VS2 or higher
Doing my research in-store (Cartier, Tiffany, local jewelers, etc) and online (BN, WF, James Allen, Adiamor, GOG, etc) I have come across these three diamonds that I believe could be the one because they seem to be what I am looking for at a reasonable price. I am curious to see what people think and to let me know if you think I am missing something and also your personal preference. Also, if you happen to see a diamond in my range by another vendor I would much appreciate it if you can pass it along. I have done my research but am still trying to keep it as simple as possible (after all this is just a commodity), but be as critical as you want...I can handle it.
