What do I love about my life?

All the love I''m given in my life! I can''t think of a simpler way to describe it.

I just had this conversation with my husband yesterday- he was feeling down in the dumps and I went got on my "think positive" soapbox.

I love that we are still in love after our first year of marriage which was far from ideal (most due to family stress and his campaign) and that we pushed through and are closer than ever. He makes everything more fun!

I love our crazy dog, even though he had a few close calls this year (he ate a disposable razor! Agh!). His goofy puppy grins are the best thing to come home to.

I love our families who are so supportive and encouraging. They really are there for us in thick and thin.

We have excellent friends who are so much fun to spend time with and we are looking forward to more good times next year!

I love our new home which we were fortunate enough to purchase this year- our tiny sea foam green bungalow is quirky and perfectly sized for our family.

I love that I have a job, which I may not always love, but I have wonderful bosses. I love that this job also pays for my graduate school so that I can work towards my towards my goal of becoming a teacher- what a deal!

What a great thread! In the last few months, I have been really working towards thinking more positively rather than dwelling on any sadness. Life is too short not to embrace the good things everyday.

I love my husband.

I love my nieces and nephews.

I love my house and my neighborhood.

I love meeting new friends at a new happening restaurant for dinner. (That was last night.)

I love when our neighbors pop over unexpectedly and drink our wine, even though it always seems to be just at the climax of Mr. Deeds or whatever stupid thing we''re watching.

I love old friends who know they always have a place to stay at your house and aren''t shy to say when they''re coming.

I love my students. I love when they turn things around and turn an F into a C, or when they get excited about something we''re doing. I love when I am trying to guilt a particularly unmotivated, easy to slip through the cracks student into writing his paper by telling him how very, very disappointed I will be if I have to give him a zero, and he whispers in his Fat Albert voice, "Your breath is minty fresh." (That happened Friday so it is fresh in my mind.)

I love picking out presents for my family''s Christmas extravaganza. Christmas isn''t about presents, but it does give me joy to know that I have picked out thoughtful presents that my family will enjoy. And I love eating good food and napping amidst the wrapping paper.

I love when my sister, the minister, and I get the giggles in the middle of my parents'' Christmas eve service because something is always ambiguously worded in a funny way.

I love my family of course, and I just wish that my sister and her husband didn''t live so far away.

I love my FI. I love how in the middle of watching a football game or doing whatever he just suddenly says "I love you." I also love the secret sign we do with each other when we want to say "I love you" in public. We do it all the time and no one knows. I love how warm my FI''s hands are, especially when mine are cold. I love how he tucks me in at night when I''m ready for bed.

I love how my FI''s parents have welcomed me into their family. I may not understand certain things about his family but I really appreciate how welcoming they are.

I love our cats. Henry is a maniac but Zoe is so cool and calm that they balance each other out well.

I love reading and snuggling under a blanket, and I do that often.

I love owning property instead of renting. It''s a run of the mill condo without a whole lot of character, and I''m looking forward to owning a hourse someday, but this place is ours. It''s the first major purchase we bought together. It''s in a quiet neighborhood, fairly close to whatever we need, so the location''s a plus.

I love my friends. Many of them live far away or can''t come over because of their allergies to the cats but I love chatting with them and getting together when we can.

I love my husband, my kids, my family. I love the kids'' school and teachers/principal/staff. I''m fortunate not to have to work (although soon I really need to) while my kids are not yet both in school full time. I LOVE PS and my computer community. I love my hobby of making cards and scrapbooking. I''m also getting to know my cousin from across the country, and she is a very special person, so I love that. We also have a super sweet kitty named Eddie. The kids love him dearly and he''s so patient with them, even when they are carrying him in a way you just know is not comfortable for him, LOL!

I love my husband and our sons and now our new added daughter-in-laws. I love our dogs. Our families are wonderful and we are very blessed with good health. I love our life together. I love that my husband and I raised our boys to be very loving and responsible young men and now they are proving to be wonderful loving husbands just like their dad. I love that our life is so comfortable and we have never worried about a warm dry place to rest our heads. I love that we are able to give to others if the need arises. I love that we have always been blessed with great friends. Life ~~ I love life. It''s good!!!
