What do you know about Green Amethyst ?

I was at a craft show, a lady had a booth of old jewelry and I looked out of curiosity. She showed me Green Amethyst and went on and on about
how great it was and what a rare find it is nowadays.

Does anyone have any more knowledge? It was pretty, but windowed a lot. Very pale green stone.

I believe most of the time it''s man made by heat treating amethyst. The real "green amethyst" is called Prasiolite.
