Well I went back to the jeweler that gave me the quote for the ring.. Met with the setter and they showed me how the entire process works for making the jewelry and whatnot.. VERY nice people.. Couldnt have asked for more help.. I mean i have been in there multiple times and they take their time every time and explain everything to me.. Anyway.. This is the diamond they showed me.. The lady was very honest and told me that going with a DEF color is not really worth the money.. Said I should stick with a G color.. So anyway.. She brought out an SI and before even showing me the diamond I could see the imperfections from where she was.. I told her that i wanted a clean diamond and while most think it might not be worth it I opted for a VVS clarity.. She then brought out a 1.22k princess cut G VVS1 diamond.. The diamond sparkled like crazy and look amazing.. I took the magnifying thing and couldnt find a single thing wrong with it.. Just wanted to get some opinions.. The specs on the diamond's GIA report are as follows:

Do you have the report number? and also how much around are they asking for this?

Not square.Measurements - 5.81 x 5.66 x 4.19 mm

It's not a perfect square by no means but it's fairly square to be exact.

We need more information to better advice you. Can they take ASET images? If not can you purchase one to view the stones light performance? Can they call in an AGSL ideal cut princess for you to compare side by side with the G VSS?

Clarity is very important to some people but you should be able to find a VS stone that it's perfectly eye clean without paying the price premium. I had a VVS1 asscher and now have an SI2 round, without a loupe they look identical to me in the setting. I'm not suggesting you go down that low, just that you don't limit yourself to VVS. While clarity is obviously important, the most important characteristic determining the diamonds beauty is it's cut. Be sure to view the GIA stone in lots of different lighting environments and make sure that you are purchasing with a return policy.
