(Originally in the Antique and Vintage thread, but moved to RockyTalky like I was suggested) Oh my gosh! I think I have found my dream ring. I have been wanting a 2ct vintage cut diamond and I found this one near my BFF's house! It is a little mom and pop shop that specializes in vintage jewelry. It is a GIA J/VS2 and it is beautiful. I told my hubby about it and he said we might be able to get it because he has been wanting to upgrade my ring anyways. :eek-2::eek-2::kiss2::kiss2::bigsmile::bigsmile::-o:-o <---My faces when he said that LOL. He just wants to make sure that this is the one that will be my forever ring.

I don't want to jump the gun and just immediately get this, I need opinion. What do you guys think???? Here it is on their website https://www.yatesjewelers.com/2-carat-old-mine-cut-diamond-ring.html and here are some pictures of it on my hand!IMG_2833.jpgIMG_2832.jpgIMG_2831.jpgIMG_2830.jpgIMG_2829.jpgIMG_2827.jpgIMG_2826.jpgIMG_2825.jpg

KittyCatEve, sorry, I should have been clearer, what I meant was for you to contact the mods and have them move your thread for you - now you have the same thread open in 2 forums and it's going to get confusing! I would contact the mods and have them delete the one in Vintage jewelry.

Ohhh ok, yes, I will do that!

I can’t tell what the faceting looks like. Can you get better pics?

Maybe get them to delete this one and move the other one over since there's more commentary on it?
The forum software should allow two threads to be merged into one - @Ella may be able to arrange it :))

The ring is breathtaking!

I think it is very well priced. Though I’d offer $13,500! You might as well try and get a bit off!
I’d ring them now and ask if they can put it on hold while you finish twisting hubbys arm !
A round brillant diamond from James Allen of similiar size, colour and clarity is as much as or more than the whole ring price.
The ring mount, new, in platinum with .65 carat Diamonds has to be worth around $2,000.
So on that basis seeing as it has GIA certification, the ring mount being new will be totally solid and of course it’s a stunning beauty, I sincerely doubt you will buy better.

On the website pictures and video it looks gorgeous. You have seen it in person and you agree. So I say go for it.
