My bed is my favourite place to read, snuggled under my duvet and with a teapot on the bedside table
I also:
- watch movies
- surf the internet
- talk on the phone
- do my nails
- brush my hair
- crochet
- eat dinner/lunch/snacks
- sort my gem collection
- make my to do and shopping lists
- daydream
- I have even been known to beat eggs while sitting up in bed (it was a particularly cold day, my flat is very drafty and I had to beat them by hand - I wasn't going to do that standing in the middle of my freezing kitchen!)
- oh, yeah, I also sleep in it

In short, I can't think of a better place than my cozy bed. What do you do in your bed?

(ok, dirty minds can come out now  )

:Up_to_something: :Up_to_something: :Up_to_something:

Beat me to it!

I've gotten into the habit of playing solitaire on my Palm electronic gadget right before sleeping.

I don't do anything in bed other than sleep and :Up_to_something:

I don't like associating my bed with anything else. If I start to do things like work or read, then my mind becomes restless at night. We do have a TV in the room that I personally never turn on. FI used to watch TV in bed which was very distracting for me but he got used to watching it in the living room after our daughter was born so it's rare when he watches TV in the room.

I used to have a lot of issues falling asleep because of living in a dorm room where my "bedroom" was also my living room, kitchen, closet, office/study, etc.

I play Sudoku on my cell.

Read
pet cats/dogs
snuggle/talk
laundry (just long enough to fold and put away)
Sorting clothes to donate
Drink tea (love to read a book & sip tea in bed)

On rare occassion (pretty much only when sick), a bit of food.

We do not have a tv, radio, speakers, computer, etc. in the bedroom and will not. Too tempting to bring work/school/politics into the bedroom then and I don't want the bedroom to be a stressful place. I know for a lot of people these things are nice to have and relaxing, but we tend to watch/listen to a lot of news programs -- and since FI does computer work and I've fairly often got an online class the computer easily leads to that...
So, good for some people but would be very bad for us.

ETA: pretty much like Fiery :))

(and yeah, reading sometimes helps me fall asleep but more often than not keeps me awake longer. I don't do it as much as FI though....)

Just sleep and :Up_to_something: .
We purposely don't have a TV in our bedroom. Our doggies aren't allowed on the bed and we also don't bring office/school work to bed either.

Read, watch a little tv before lights out, and sleep. Oh, yes once in a while some heavy breathing. :naughty:

I used to do a lot in bed, but when DH and I moved to our current apartment he said, "NO MORE!" No TV, no computer, no cell phones, just us sleeping and doing married couple stuff. :cheeky:

I do keep a notepad and paper on my nightstand for writing ideas, but I only use it occasionally when inspiration strikes.

I love hanging out in bed after 9PM, and I don't sleep until midnight!

- sleep and :Up_to_something:
- watch TV
- surf the internet
- read
- do my crosswords and sudoku puzzles
- do my nails
- pluck my eyebrows
- fold my laundry
- dress my kids after they shower (they bring their clothes to me)
- floss the kids' teeth
- dry the kids' hair
- floss my own teeth
- do some reverse situps (leg lifts)

Sleep only
I don't go into the bedroom till I'm ready to sleep
and I fall asleep almost immediately.

Oh, I wouldn't recommend nagging and bickering in bed :naughty:

Well, I sleep, read, watch TV, movies and videos. Also :naughty: .

I have BAD periodic insomnia and was told by my doctor not to do anything other than sleep and sex {can i say that?}. I can go for weeks without sleeping, and that's dangerous because I'm bipolar and lack of sleep can cause a manic attack. And I am physically unable to sleep if I haven't read a bit each nite.

Sleep, watch TV, occassionally read and fool around. that's it. I love my living room, so that's where I spend a lot of time.

Sleep, read, and :Up_to_something: :Up_to_something: :Up_to_something:

Thats it. I like to keep our bed specifically for that. We dont have a TV in the bedroom, or computer, or anything like that. Bedroom just for pleasurable and relaxing activities.

We occasionally read but we try not to do anything in bed besides sleep or :Up_to_something:

No television in bed. We had a TV in the bedroom but it was never on.

One day this past winter, we spent an entire hungover day in bed. We brought in our laptops, ordered pizza in, stayed in our pajamas. It was GLORIOUS. Vegging out is one of my favorite pastimes and when DH does it with me, it's twice as fun b/c he's usually a "get up and go" type.

DH has issues with crumbs in bed so he only lets me eat in bed when I'm sick.

Sleep. And other recreational activities.

I play iPhone games right before going to bed as well. I play scrabble games.

I do everything you listed :) Except beat eggs. :naughty:

When I'm in bed, I:

* watch TV (I never wanted one in our master bedroom but I'll admit, I do like it now. I usually watch TV while I'm getting ready in the morning, and occasionally if my husband and I want to watch different things at night or on the weekends.)
* paint my nails
* sort laundry
* read

Well, if I was your man I'd be thankful for that. :o

Sleep and read. I'm going to do a big bed makeover soon, though, and make it a place where I can just go to enjoy it. New sheets, new duvet, new headboard....I can't wait!

SNORE !!

Sleep or read or :naughty:. That's it. DH and I do not have a TV in our bedroom, nor do we eat food in there. We have a no pets policy also!

:naughty: , sleep, and read a bit before I doze off.

I used to have problems falling asleep, and I read that doing things in your bed *other* than sleeping can contribute to the problem, so I cut out all other activities. I used to do more active reading in bed, but that was about it.

We will never have a TV in our bedroom. I went to an open house with my friend last weekend and they had televisions EVERYWHERE! Each child's bedroom, the master bedroom, the kitchen, the LIVING room (!), and three in the basement.

Besides sleep and "snuggling".... DH and I watch TV together before bedtime, or sometimes we will read together. Other than that, all other loafing goes on on the couch!

Rest & :naughty:

Overthink. :|

Nothing. (see my "what do you do in bed, occupation housewife" response.)
