just a quick question,, how does one become a lobbyist? DH is really into politics, and one day he''d like to do some lobbying

but i guess he just needs to get his foot in the door first

Most people start by volunteering/working for a campaign, then getting a job on the Hill, then "selling out" and becoming a lobbyist. I got lucky and a special interest group hired me without ever having to work on the Hill for peanuts.
