What do I have? Help!

Hi everyone! I recently acquired a few rings from my grandmother and have no idea how to identify what I have and if it is worth anything other than sentimental value. Not for selling purposes but for resetting purposes. How do I tell whether someone is lab created or natural? How do I tell what the stone is? Thanks for your help!!

I posted a shot of some loose stones that I think are sapphires and some of the rings I have.

Impossible to tell from a photo but with the color zoning it may be sapphire. I would check a local store or better yet a gemologist, they should be able to take an RI and run a few tests to determine what they are.
