I have recently bought a replacement engagement ring after my original was stolen.

I love the ring, but have questions. It was originally stated a a F color, SI1, radiant cut diamond ring. The jeweler had it custom set in a beautiful 18k setting, but he could not locate the GIA certificate for it.

He took out the diamond and sent it back to GIA. I assume he had this diamond for some time.

The certificate came back as follows:

Cushion modified Brilliant
1.00 carat
Color E
SI1
Very Good -Polish
Good-Symmetry
Table-71%
Depth-69%
No cutlet
Girdle-ext thin-to ext thick

L x w-1.26

I happen to love the rectangular shape and it looks much bigger than a carat which in not usually the case. But I wondered if I paid for a radiant, when I really got a modified cushion. Also the plot is the plot which resembles a real cushion, not the crushed ice plot.

What cut grade would this ring be considered?
