Can't tell from pictures but it looks like it's rose cut whatever it is. Do you have any reputable jewellers or pawnshops you could go to to get it tested to see if it's diamond or not?

Personally I fail to see the appeal of rose cuts. I like my diamonds to sparkle, not sit there and look like glass. If you just like the shape and the arrangement of the stones, you can always get regular faceted cuts.
