Hello all,

I'm looking to buy a perfect hearts and arrows diamond, 1.8+ ct, G+, VS1+. What can you tell me from the following GCAL report?

http://www.gemfacts.com/images/certs/GCAL202650007.jpg

It scores a 0.9 on HCA, but I am also interested in getting perfect H&A symmetry. I can see decently formed arrows in the GCAL optical symmetry analysis photo, but there is no corresponding picture for hearts. Does the fact that the hearts look messed up in the photomicrograph image mean that this is not a true H&A diamond? Blue Nile will not provide me with Hearts, ASET, or IS images.

Thanks,

-X

GCAl to the best of my knowledge, nor BN, do H&A's evaluation or pics.
You may need a specialist vendor.
Bear in mind that there is no acceptded grading standard for H&A's and even the standards withing PS vendors can vary, although the PS vendors are the leaders of the pack.

Search the inhouse stones with H&A button clicked

Bump. Can anyone take a look at the GCAL image please?

I did but either the stone was not straight or it has poor back of stone symmetry. Either way you would never know.

No doubt the stone is nice from the psuedo ASET image that GCAL use (but have never ever defined). But you have set a high bar and we cant help you.
If you are keen have it shipped to one of our great apraisers who post here regularly.
