What became of all the old marquise and pears?

What became of all the old marquise and pears? Everyone back then had one and now few do. I had sold my old marquise (for my new beautiful GOG rb). So, where do all the old marquise and pears go?

Sonoma - I think that it can become discerning spending so much time on PS. We see so many perfectly cut, lovely stones...it makes you wonder if anyone ever buys from a mall store, or buys a poor quality stone.
But the truth is, even with all it''s members, we probably only repersent only .001% of diamond consumers...

I'm not asking who is now buying pears & marquise to wear as their current stone.

I'm asking, as many people used to have pears and marquise and now we see lots of squares and rounds, what did the people or people they sold them (their old pears and marquise) to (maybe at dump value) do with the pears and marquise?

Well, no offense meant to any people that love marquise, but I traded my 5 stone one in for my 5 stone round anniv. band. I can say though, that if I had a pear I would be keeping that baby!
