Greetings Everyone!

I am a long time lurker, first time poster. The amount of knowledge I have collected here has been enormous and I am now looking for some opinions on a stone I have found.

I have been checking daily to try and find something that fits my needs, I am not in a hurry to purchase as I still have 2 months but don't want to push it to close.

I have been strictly looking at 0.65+ CARAT, I/J Color, SI1 or better, EX/EX/EX, None to Faint FLUORESCENCE.

Here is the stone information

SHAPE: Round
CARAT WEIGHT: 0.72
COLOR: J
CLARITY: VS1
CUT: Excellent
POLISH: Excellent
SYMMETRY: Excellent
FLUORESCENCE: None
L/W/D (MM): 5.80*5.77*3.49

L/W RATIO: 1.01
DEPTH %: 60.30
GIRDLE: Medium - Slightly Thick
TABLE %: 58.00
CULET: None
CERTIFICATE: GIA
CROWN ∠: 34.00
CROWN %: 14.00
PAVILION ∠: 40.60
PAVILION %: 43.00

To me after looking at alot of J and I color stones, to me this looks much more like an I than a J, even if the picture is deceiving and its more yellow, I am ok with that. using the HCA tool, it appears to come back at a 0.7.

I asked for a Idealscope image, but they told me it is not available.

Is this a good stone or would something better come up in 2 months?

As a comparison, I was seriously looking at this one before it sold right when I went to put it on hold a month ago.

Which stone would you consider better?

I like the I color but they are both nice. What price are you looking at?

I prefer higher color in this case.

Can you drop in clarity and go to H Si1 in your price range?

Thanks for the replies,

Due to the terrible Canadian dollar my limit is 1900 USD for the stone. I am open to suggestions for sure, but looking at James Allen SI1-2, H Color, I can't even find a single stone over 0.65 Carat for under 1900 that's even considerable unless I took something with a very deep depth or strange angles, and at that point I think it would be worth sacrificing a color step to get a better cut.

Then, I'd get the J.

Hey Gypsy/Anyone that wants to chime in,

Hopefully you see this.

I stumbled across this.

Which stone would you pick if they're both the same price? The one posted just above 0.7 carat, or the original one I posted.

Both score great on HCA, to me the arrows look more symmetrical on the 0.7 Carat but don't know if you would actually notice a difference in person.

Tough choice. I like them both. But you are right there is something about the .7 that's attention grabbing.
