I found These diamonds on the internet and found very little information on pricescope. They're claim is these diamonds are square ideal cut diamonds that show hearts and arrows under a scope. I am just a regular guy who wants to get her a Hearts on Fire Dream cut diamond but can not afford to make that possible. My understanding leads me to beleive that this is very simular to the Hearts on Fire Dream cut. The specs on one of the diamonds I'm looking at are:

Carat 0.51
Colour F
Clarity SI1
Total Depth 71.80
Pavilion Depth 0.00
Table 57.00
Dimensions 4.50x4.50x3.23
Crown Angle 0.00
Pavilion Angle 0.00
Girdle TN-XTK
Culet N
Fluorescence N
Lustre
Polish Excellent
Symmetry Very Good
Cut* SQ ID H&A
Report GIA

* The cut grade assigned to this diamond is based on scientific fact and a standard used by most manufacturers of Ideal and Premium Cut diamonds. It may not always reflect the opinion of that expressed on the grading report but allows consumers to effectively compare the grades of different laboratories.

Do the numbers match up could this be a Square stone that's going to sparkle like crazy simular to the Dream? Should I be afraid to purchace this diamond over the internet?

Hi,

You should not be afraid to purchase over the internet, but I would shy away from a vendor that claims that "* The cut grade assigned to this diamond is based on scientific fact and a standard used by most manufacturers of Ideal and Premium Cut diamonds. It may not always reflect the opinion of that expressed on the grading report but allows consumers to effectively compare the grades of different laboratories." without providing the essential angles (crown, pavillion, etc.) that REALLY determine the cut grade. Also, do you know that this SI1 is eyeclean? That is a very important question too.

If you want a Square H&A diamond, go to http://www.goodoldgold.com
they are AWESOME, and have fantastic stones and a great reputation around here especially for Square H&A. They will surely find you a diamond that is every bit as good as a HOF diamond without the price tag.

And call them rather than choosing from their online inventory. They will send you pictures and work with you to make sure you get the best diamond for your money.

Good luck!

ETA: I just noticed it has a GIA cert, if it's a full cert and you have the # we could look it up online.
