You have so many options with your existing strands cmd2014. All of those looks are lovely. What length are you think for the dedicated rope?

FrostMe, at first I was thinking 54 inches, to be worn as a long double. But after playing around with my strands (DH was trying not to laugh at me in my PJ's fiddling with connecting strands together in various combos and scrutinizing them) I think I would instead prefer a single 36 - 37 inch strand that I could either wear long or doubled. I have to admit that I am quite enamored with Anne's 'I am Love' replica strand. Something like that would be really nice! My fear though is that I am a bit busty so ropes tend to disappear down the center so to speak rather than draping beautifully like they do on Tilda (and Anne). Not sure how I would feel about that long term...

Of course, if someone were to gift me one of those Golay strands I would find a way to make it work!!!

cmd2014, my multi color baroque strand is 36" long. A better length would have been 34 or even 32. At 36 inches ithr pearls bong my stomach when I walk and I seem to hold them to keep them "quiet". I have a 19" multi that I often attach and wear the strands double. I like that look a lot. Sorry I can't show pictures as I am on a casual vacation with narry a pearl in sight.

Today is day 3 (or 4) of rain (and muggy), so I am not wearing any jewelry except my bezel Tahitian earrings (from Maison Birks). I have a pendant that matches, but it's just too sticky for necklaces today. They're quite small (7-8 mm maybe) and don't have strong overtones, but their luster gives them presence on the ear. Birks is one of the few places here that carries nice pearls.

Today I'm wearing a 10mm Tahitian pendant that DH bought me for our 5th anniversary from Birks. Even though we couldn't really afford it at the time, he bought it for me because he knew that I had wanted one for years. The earrings came about a year later from one of their rare 50% off sales. I've actually breathed new life into the pendant. It had originally come on a dedicated chain where the loop was too large to go through the bail, but the chain had become too short for me over the years. So on Friday I took it to my jewelers and had them switch it out to a new (longer) chain, and it's perfect.

Remember this strand from the 2015 Tahitians sale at PP? It was supposed to be for my daughter's 21st birthday, but she finally told me that she doesn't want it after all!

My H said he would very much like to wear it occasionally, and hey, if you can't wear what you want by age 70, when can you? It didn't look good on him at 18" long, though, so I shortened it today. We'll be sharing the necklace so that it doesn't sit in the drawer unworn. Here it is shortened.

Baby Tahitians today
