Road tripping always is a great time to admire gems. Wearing my star sapphire with my aqua ring. The ring is new...I’m pretty sure my husband overpaid, but I adore it. It has an extra dreamy light play set upside down with a milky, strong blue. Finally a ring to go with my aqua horse pendant! Happy 2020 y’all.

Here is my ring combo with my necklaces today. The silver one has a grape chalcedony cluster . In combo with my aqua horse pendant, they remind me of the sun and the moon. They don’t really “go” together, but they feel so much like dark and light, sun and moon, male and female when worn together. I’m unusually attracted to interesting combinations, even opposites

Hey, thank you for the compliments on the aqua and the chalcedony! I’ve missed posting recently and seeing everyone’s things, though I’ve been trying to keep up.

Lately I’ve been mixing again...raw gems with some finer pieces. The aqua ring is an in between piece...kind of a bit of both because though it’s faceted, it’s upside down setting makes it feel like a light ball/stone nugget. I’m with you, large aquas are amazing! I bet you will find your dream piece one day as jewelry fate!

Re the chalcedony... I have no idea why I’ve become obsessed with natural crystal shapes recently, but I just love this kind . When my rhodochrosite rhomboid crystal pendant is finally finished, maybe I can wear them together lol.

Thanks, it’s old Tanzanian material. I haven’t seen material like this in eons. Top color looks like neon greenish yellow highlighter.

Ok, I see. My chrysoberyls are all lemony yellow, no green, apart from a small one that's from Sri Lanka sold to me as vanadium chrysoberyl, that has little if any yellow.

In the car with my lavender jadeite bangle and lavender sapphire ring.

Skirt is Myanmar cheik (silk) which is handwoven on traditional looms using a mix of cotton and silk which takes 3 to 4 months to complete a piece. Dying trade as the weavers are giving up owing to machines that can sew cheaper and faster with more patterns and intricate designs.

I bought another today, lavender, but it's not as rich as the peach. Will send it to the seamstress tomorrow to make into a wearable more modern dress design. I love these handwoven stuff here!

Ooh, love that one too I have a few yards of hand loomed silk from Morocco which I had planned to make something with. You’ve inspired me to think about what. I always imagined a skirt.

Wearing this dark, bluish green jadeite bangle with citrine stretch bracelet, and my favorite disk. The disk is top quality California coast nephrite jade with a spess center. Sorry about the bad lighting! The bangle is quite a bit more blue than the pendant. But they still ‘go’ well enough.

The sun came out today. Yay! My corundum look more intensely colored in direct sun.
