Leslie, I loved your paraiba and demantoid eternity, and I've already started a 5 stone eternity with 3 demantoid and 2 paraiba, but that one will be in white gold.

One of these days I will stop being lazy and start a thread to post my jewelry projects this year. I am planning at least 12 with Yvonne, and I'm starting to think about setting a "Jedi" spinel with Ivyandrosevintage.

I'm pretty much putting 100% of my disposable income towards hobby projects. My crochet yarn is less than $200. The test of that, I've spent on gems/jewelry.
You should start your own thread, voce :) I love seeing other people's projects and you have a great eye!

Yvonne suggested alternating the demantoid and paraiba and I'm so glad she did! I would still consider making an all paraiba band in WG with slightly larger stones. Good luck finding a Jedi spinel :)

I already have the spinel. I keep the box in my purse so I can look at it at work from time to time, or if I'm waiting at a Costco gas line. The top picture represents what I see most of the time. Sparkly and bright even indoors at night. The bottom picture shows you the inclusions. I was able to buy this at a reasonable price because of that surface-reaching inclusion. However, because it is not at the girdle, I think/hope the inclusion will not be an issue when setting the spinel. Note that the pictures are the vendor pictures; because I'm lazy, I can only muster the will to grab the camera on the weekends.

& Ive been so quiet and such a lurker lately, heres what I'm wearing today;

-My custom 14k yellow gold bezel set untreated (Zambian) emerald cabochon ring

- A new purchase handmade in 14k yellow gold from fellow NewMexican "Anat Perez". It has a unoiled 3mm Columbian emerald and two little diamonds. I'm so obsessed with it! She sells this ring for $440.00 (rightly so for the emerald) but I was extremely lucky and found it preloved on ebay for $80.00! The little Emmy has great sparkle and clarity.

It was one of the most synchronistic purchases ever as two years prior I saw Anat and her booth in person at our local renaissance fair and I LOVED her work; all hammered yellow gold like lost ancient relics with yummy little gemstones but alas they were out of reach then pricewise but I never forgot about her work and I always wished that I had remembered her name. So having a piece, is amazing let alone one that I would have chosen my self from her shop. (:

Going to work today... here’s a cheer me up. Has anyone ever noticed that rubellite photographs darker than what you see? :confused: It could be my pasty skin.
Absolutely gorgeous lusciousness! That color is like deep root/heart blood..and I love your nails. Awesome ‘jewel’ colors together.

Thank you for your kind words. The chrome effect was an experiment to see if it’ll stick to SNS. It’s been good so far.

B6FEC0B8-D992-4E15-8A6D-7883CD37D1BD.jpeg My recently received (from the bottom of my mother’s safe) emerald and diamond ring. Old fashioned style but the emeralds are a great colour and the setting beautifully executed. I love it.
Are you going to post a dedicated thread for this ring?
