Anyone have exciting plans? My boyfriend and I are going to Joel McHale do stand up. He''s the host of "The Soup" on E! and he cracks me up!

Joel McHale sounds so fun - DH and I think he''s hilarious. I hope he brings that cute little Chihuahua that they have on the show

DH and I went out and did a big fancy thing last year, and it was kind of a bust, so this year we are staying in, popping open a bottle of good champagne, and making a nice dinner ourselves, probably watching a nice movie or something

Agreed!

This is our first New Years together, and we have yet to figure out what we''re going to do.. but whatever we end up doing, there WILL be champagne

My Mom is visiting from Indonesia so I''m thinking of taking her to Disneyland on Thursday then on New Year''s Eve (while we''re resting our feet from all that walking in Disneyland) we''ll invite my FI over and we''ll have our fav red wine together. Thats the plan!

DH invited a single guy friend to hang out with us - I''m sure it will be fun, but I feel bad for the friend!!

We''re going to an improv show and probably just back to our place for champagne and apps. Very low-key.

A handful of other witchy-poos and I are finding a quiet park for ritual in the early evening, since this New Year''s is also a Blue Moon. This the time to be creative and spontaneous and to let go of all the negative/upsetting things that have limited you or made you feel inhibited. We will cast circle and raise the energy to help release negative memories, thoughts, emotions, habits and even people that are getting in your way emotionally, spiritually and maybe even physically. Also to invite the positive motivational energy to get the New Year off to a good start. On a lesser note, time to clean and get rid of stuff you don''t need. I''ve been purging my closet like a fiend the past couple of weeks!

Then, we are going to a pah-tay. The real kind of blow-out that we haven''t done in a while which will maybe last until about 5 in the morning and then go to breakfast. Have an outfit picked and everything.

Some friends have a big party every year and we're really excited to go! They have a few extra bedrooms and we "reserved" one, so it'll be nice to stay over night and not have to drive home.

Having people over at our place! We get to drink! Yay!

Our NYE plans gots foiled, so I don't really know what we're doing.

Ohh, that sounds like fun! I love that show. And I think Joel McHale is adorable.

I'm taking my kids out to an early dinner and then we are having what we call a "familyi movie night" which is where my kids fight over who gets to sit closest to me on the couch to watch a movie. Makes me feel so treasured and loved :) Might bake some cookies with them. Good think to do night before the diet starts for me

We are doing a Twilight Zone Marathon on New Year''s Eve. What started a few years ago when DD was sick and turned into an annual event and she has invited about 6 friends over, while we have 2 couple coming over as well. It was so much fun last year that DD wanted to do it again.

We''re going to a house party and then to the pub afterwards. Should be a bit of fun.

We''re having a party.

I actually wasn''t going to throw one... but everyone thought we were.... so I just went with that.

Love Twilght zone! We have the best of collection at home on loan from the library. My older son and I watch them together.

Probably nothing. A coworker is having a party, but I don''t want to go without BF, and BF doesn''t get off of work until 11, and driving at that point in the night makes me nervous. Plus, it''s not like I don''t like these people, but the idea of not being able to either a) look at BF and giggle to ourselves/roll our eyes/whatever and/or b) escape when I want to because why leave a NYE party early, and I''ll have a few drinks and might have to wait an hour or two to drive just makes the idea not too appealing. I''d rather hang out on the couch and celebrate with BF when he gets home.

However, if my Ultimate friends decide to throw together a party, I''m in!

Prolly nothing. Maybe we''ll stow away w/y2kitty to see Joel McHale-he''s hysterical and The Soup is one of our favorite shows. Some of the things he comes up with make us just roll!

Cuddling.

And opening all our late presents that we''ve put under our "new-year''s tree".

We''re going to Charleston tomorrow for a few days. We''re not sure what we''ll do on NYE while we''re there, but we''ll think of something (see if they have any First Night activities, go to a restaurant [if we can find one that we don''t need reservations for], etc.).

Staying home and having some family and friends over.
I hate going out on NYE due to the crowds and drunks... rather do that in my own house... haahaa

We are going to a party. We drew names to make "bands" are having a Battle of the Bands competition on Rock Band and I have been practicing with my band all week. I also volunteered to be DD, so no drinking for me until the Bowl part at our house the next day.

We''re having some friends over for drinking and games... if anyone has any suggestions I''d appreciate them, lol!
We''ll probably watch the ball drop on TV (which FI and I have done every year since we''ve lived together) and my sister is going to bring some champagne for a midnight toast :)

Hope you all ended up having fun!
