I'll start - I walk every day. And I ride Peloton rides in my exercise room. I have weights and accessories that I use with the Peloton App streamed on my big screen tv. So glad that I have this in place as I would go crazy if not able to workout.

I like to walk too. I have loads of exercise CDs ranging in intensity from Sean Ts Insanity workouts to hip hop and other forms of cardio dance. Enough variety to take me through an entire year without a repeat.

I have a stationary bicycle, workout bench and weights at home. Plus there's always walks around the neighbourhood.

I do my Cybex Arc Trainer and Pilates Reformer daily. Also starting other strengthening exercises if I can continue learning how to do them safely in physical therapy. If not I’ll put that on hold. But hope to be healthy enough to continue my normal exercise routine.

Also while we can we walk outside but make sure to keep a good distance from others so walking in less crowded areas.

I have never been so happy that we bought a Peloton awhile back! We just recently got a set of free weights and resistance bands to go with it. I'm #sanchica27 if anyone wants to follow :)

You mean, posting on PS is not exercise?

Who knew?

... there's always walks around the neighborhood.

Bibi and I love our local walks.
I'm an introvert, but Bibi's an extrovert who loves stopping to meet new people.
I've never been so sociable as I have been since Bibi joined our lives ... most friendly parrot I've ever had or have known of.

Sometimes we drive to a nearby new neighborhood to walk in an unfamiliar area.
Or we'll go down to the beach to walk on the sand, where the waves lick at daddy's bare feet.
Ahhhh!

We so appreciate the simple free pleasures of living in Southern California!

Yes!!! I love my Peloton rides. Who are your favorite instructors? I like Hannah Marie Corbin, Ally Love, Emma Lovewell and a few others now and then. Keeps me sane.

I Love Alex, Robin, Olivia, Tunde, Matt, and Denis the most. There really aren't any I don't like but they generally have my favorite playlists :)

There was a time when I didn’t have a gym membership or a gym room at home. I was very fit from following YouTube kettlebell and yoga workouts, swimming, running, cycling and playing tennis.

I'm planning on doing some power walking outdoors and yoga, pilates workouts at home.

Luckily we have outdoor bootcamps still going on. 6 feet of separation, no high 5's, your own mat, your own dumbbells, your own towel but still community motivation. The trainers are limiting camps to around 15 people to keep the space from one another consistent. It's working great - I feel a part of something without any close contact to folks - and always in the open air.

This is great!

I started a routine a while back for days I could not make it to the gym and follow that everyday and keep adding to it. I am up to 350 crunches, 100 push-ups, 40 squats, various upper body exercises and walk at least a mile.

You're a stud!!!

Already putting in 10k steps per day as it is, no need for a home gym here luckily!

Sorry @kenny but I've downsized from refrigerator to 12 volt car fridge

Not so much gym but yoga for me.

I have been using the Down Dog App (which allows one to customize each individual video yoga session to your needs) and surprisingly I found it to be pretty good.

For anyone who's interested, they are also offering their other apps - Yoga for Beginners, HIIT, Barre, and 7 Minute Workout for free until April 1st. Teachers and students get free access till July 1st.

We suspended our gym membership a few weeks ago, and my Pilates classes have been cancelled.

We’re still going to go out for walks, but will leave it until after the usual morning dog walking time because being outside lifts our mood as well as give us some exercise.

It’s a routine I could seriously get into...that and eating...and scrolling through bling.
Feeling healthier by the minute!

I cancelled my gym membership on Saturday. They changed their policy a few weeks ago so now everyone has to cancel or hold their memberships in person (there used to be an online form). Lots of posts about not closing until it’s a government mandate. I will never set foot in that place again.

I bought an incline trainer with IFit a few months ago and so glad that I did. I also have a secondhand spin bike and a bench with weights.

The plan is to go jogging on the trail system near my house since it is almost always empty. I’ll stop as soon as there is a full quarantine order (I think it’s coming).

Walking the dog and the kids ride their bikes alongside. It's the start of autumn here and it isn't getting dark until after 8pm, and the evenings are still really warm, so lots of after dinner walkies here! Not looking forward to winter.

It is an important exercise IMO. Exercise for the brain which keeps us emotionally connected and gives (some of us) a sense of well being. It helps (me at least and I hope others) to vent and share and cry and laugh here and also share pics of pretty bling and furry babies too. All good for the soul and exercise for the brain/mind helps the soul and body. IMO. So yes PS posting is exercise indeed.

I've never been so happy to belong to an online spin studio in my life! Have my spin bike, weights, TRX, yoga mat in the garage. If I couldn't work out I dont know what I would do. It's my primary coping skill.

Last night my trainer-wife did an online 60 minute facebook live workout for all her clients. She will continue to do this for as long as needed. Our driveway as her 'gym' and the clients work alongside her 'virtually' at home. This is great for everyone, except she runs 4 workouts a day some days. She's tired - but pretty sure she'll be in the best shape of her life by the end of the month.

My yoga studio just announced daily classes on Instagram Live!

Excited to have something scheduled

I'm jelly of everyone who has space for gym equipment! There's zero space in our tiny city house. We don't even have room for our small food stockpile, which is sitting in grocery bags on the foyer floor.

All gyms here are closed due to the outbreak so our only choice is the great outdoors. DH cycles and I run. Running outdoors isn't my first choice because of the impact on my joints, but I need high-intensity cardio and I don't like biking or swimming. I normally go to the gym 6 days a week (elliptical + treadmill) but these days I'm jogging in the park. I figure that running only every other day will help to reduce impact on my joints. I hope!

I may give streaming workout videos a try. Or maybe yoga vids but I'm suuuuper inflexible so that could be an exercise in futility.

Can you run on a softer surface like grass or dirt or sand? To make it less harsh on your joints?

I thankfully was able to keep most of my gym equipment!

The one that I probably value the most is my step platform. I use that when I can't go outside (hurricanes, blizzards) and need to get my mind off stuff, get the blood moving, take the edge off) I was a step instructor for a few years in my spare time, so those moves do come in handy! The step and risers are easy enough to put away, can be used for various other exercises too.

I do a little yoga and a little tai chi. But I do half an hour of seated peddling most days on this:

If you do it on resistance, it raises a sweat and gets your heart pumping.

I also do chair cardio, which is a good abs workout:

I have a lower back issue, so these exercises are really good for me. My gym is currently closed, but, when there, I used to do resistance. I do have weights here as well, tho, so all up I'm not doing too badly.
