Hi quick question if anyone can help clarify, I bought an ACA from white flash and was told this was nothing of concern when I bought the stone and that it was just a reflection and didn’t affect the performance of the stone at all but since I’ve proposed my fiancé is asking me why this looks like this. Can anyone comment as I’m not sure what to tell her what those marks are in the center of the Diamond in this actual hearts photo. It doesn’t seem to show on the ags cert below. Or the other two idealscope images. I think it’s bothering her quite a bit but she won’t outright say it FML ‍♂️ !

Thanks in advance ✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️

Nothing to worry about, in my opinion...what matters is the actual hearts and the chevrons, and your fiancé's diamond is dead-on perfect.
Perfect Ideal-Scope and ASET results, as well!

Is she actually seeing something in the diamond or just looking at the picture? AGS Diamonds are clarity graded from the top view
(what we look at normally) at 10x. This may be something way down in the stone that is impossible to see at 10x from the top.
Obviously, it is being reflected around the stone but if it cant be seen from the top then it doesn't really come into play as far
as clarity and it shouldn't be anything you or she can see while viewing the stone. The stone also has AGS 0 Ideal light return
so it's not affecting the light return.

You have a very nice stone with a pretty high clarity in my opinion.

Do you have a link to the original diamond page (not just the AGS report)? If so, can you link it?

I am sure it is something that is being reflected as they all look to be the same size and design. As @tyty333 said, it is probably one inclusion deep in the diamond that is reflected all around and visible only from the bottom of the diamond. It is not marked on the plot so certainly not of concern - particularly if she isn’t seeing it in the diamond from the face up position. Diamonds have inclusions but if you don’t see them and they are not affecting light performance, they should not trouble her. She really needs to go by what she sees in the diamond and not what she sees in the images.
As always, you can reach out to Whiteflash if their explanation might be more meaningful to both of you.

Sorry, I misunderstood what the concern was.
I thought you were referring to the white spots along the edge of the crown out by the girdle, not the tiny inclusions casting reflections on the pavilion facets.
They shouldn't be visible to the naked eye...are they?
Those are great inclusions for you (and your insurance provider) to easily identify/verify with 10x or higher magnification that this is, unquestionably, *your* diamond!

See blown up image.
Feather reflecting around the pavilion.
Even a tiny feather in the right place can reflect like this and it does not harm anything.

I have an OEC with a big ol’ reflecting feather in the pavilion and I can’t see it top down. Nothing to worry about in the fancy precision cut you got. Tell her it is checkmarks for symmetry. :)

Thanks for all the replies just showed her this thread and I think it’s put her mind at ease a little more! At the end of the day I’m happy with it but just want to make sure she is, as it’s the most important thing .

I really can’t see it with my naked eyes and do agree it’s an inclusion being reflected due to the symmetry as was the explanation given at time of purchase so hope fully she can appreciate the difference between eye clean and mind clean lol
