Come on -- 'fess up! We've all hit that "Buy Now" button only to think one second later, "OMG, WHAT have I done?"

A couple nights ago I was buying something on Amazon and I was like $10 away from free shipping so I just went web surfing to to see what there might be... Can you say Donny Osmond's 70s Love Songs?!?

I swear it!

I've got it playing in the kitchen right now!

I have actually laughed out loud at various points (WHO decided this CD was a good idea to be realeased to the public?) and the HH thinks I've lost my mind.

So come on, tell us, what goofy things have YOU bought?!

Will you burn a copy for me?

Better than that Marvel -- you can have THIS ONE!

LOL DeeJay! You made me want to pull out the ol'' purple socks. And my Donny and Marie dolls.

I''m fessin'' up to the disco ball we have hanging in the foyer. And yes, it has different colored gels for the spotlight.

Absolutely adorable Harriet! I say go for it!

Jas, please tell me you''re joking.

Thanks jas -- now I don''t feel so bad!

Can someone please remind me of a Donny hit?

OK, Harriet, I very nearly pressed ''Adopt'' or ''Buy'' or whatever for the fake Shar Pei on that website. All that cuteness! no skin diseases!

I love dogs so much, but I travel way too much to ever own one. WAAAH!

The weirdest thing I ever bought on line was an ugly belt from e-bay. I needed a belt. I did. But I sure as heck didn''t need THAT belt. I don''t even think it''s really leather. I honestly have no idea what came over me. Anyway, it''s still in my closet. I guess I should give it to the Salvation Army or something.

Go for it! Can we please see that belt?

Dee Jay,
Great thread!

Harriet, let''s be PERFECTLY clear; these aren''t even *Donny Osmond''s* hits from the 70s--he''s redoing OTHER PEOPLE''S songs!

The Twelfth of Never

LOL Pyramid, at first I thought you meant you bought The Twelfth of Never on line. I had to go through about 10 google hits before I realized what you meant!

Did you know it was originally recordedy by Johnny Mathis?

Dee Jay, I just don''t think that makes it OK! (That he''s doing other peoples'' songs that is!) Sorrrrrry!

OK, Harriet, WHY does the puppy take a battery?!? I'm scared.

ETA: I just noticed these perfectpet thingies are on cuteoverload today. That must be where you found 'em?

Anyway, apparently they have a battery so that they can fake breathe. This will now take the prize for weirdest thing I ever almost-impulse-bought online. A fake, breathing pet.

Does that mean the shar pei might get battery operated skin diseases?!!? No. Escape.

ROFL about the battery IG!

IG,
Dee Jay says "no." But, do you think it''d be weird if I stuck one under my desk.

Pyramid,
I like "The 12th of Never." Wasn''t it a Cliff Richard song, though?

Sadly, no. Excuse me, my platform shoes with the goldfish in the soles are calling.

If I had been drinking something it would''ve come out of my nose just now. LOL!!!!

Yes, Harriet. It would be weird if you had a fake breathing pet under your desk. Deeply, deeply weird.

It''d be comforting.

Any bad infomercial merchandise is now gathering dust in my closet. I buy dicers and slicers and ab scissors and all kinds of crap that is ridiculous. I am a total sucker for that crap.

And Elton John wore the shoes with the gold fish in the soles!

I find those fake pets deeply disturbing.

Why? (This is a serious question.

Me?!?

I don''t know. Maybe b/c they look dead. They just make me uncomfortable. I can''t imagine going to my lawyer''s office and seeing one under her desk

But if you love it and it would make you happy you should go for it. They seem to be popular.

Ding! Absolutely correct! I was going for a totally 70s kinda groove with my Donny Osmand socks and my disco ball.

This thread, by the way, is hysterical.

Life? Why no, I don''t have one.
