What are people's thoughts on this diamond?

The numbers look good. Do you have an idealscope image? That'd help us tell you for sure...

No IS image available. Is it dangerous to buy off of certificate alone?

What price range should a stone of this quality fall into?

Thank you

The 1.70 scored a .90 on the HCA (which is excellent!) and the 1.77 scored a 2.0. You want to keep that scored under a 2.0, but I still prefer the numbers on the 1.70...

Those were my thoughts as well!

Anyone else have any input?

Now for the setting... is it worth it to go for custom work for a tiffany style knife edge 6 prong setting such by going to SK or DBL in NY?

Personally I would just go with the Vatache tiffany repro. lots of have it here and love it. If its not pave, i dont think you really have to go hand forged.

Also, is ther a reason you want such high specs? An H VS2 is going to be just as as sparkly and give you a larger size

Spec-wise: I prefer better specs. I spoke with some friends in the industry who suggested going F over G.

Size-wise: Did not really want anything bigger than 2 ct, looks too large in my opinion.

Clarity-wise: I preferred VVS or VS1 over VS2
