What anniversary band with my current wedding/ER?

I'm placing hints for my hubby for an anniversary band for my ring. My WR and ER are soldered together and measure about 2mm. Center Stone is 1 carat.

I'm torn as to whether I can pull off a straight eternity style band when my current ring is curved.

I'm really admiring this style on Etsy:

and I haven't been able to find anything like it in local stores to try on for size. Any suggestions?IMG_20171228_102628.jpg

If you love straight eternity bands, then I would go for it. (I also love the look of them.) If you are concerned about the curve maybe do a spacer ring in between and then the band will sit better. Still a novice so I may be wrong but I would go for what you love.

I love your set! And that style band is gorgeous! I don't know much about the cut on those stones to discern if they are indeed lively-- that price is really great deal if they are and I think it would look great with your set. That said, what color is your diamond? I only ask Bc I have an I color and I don't like to pair it with colorless diamond bands.

Thank you both for the input.
@nala- honestly I don't know what color my center stone is. I've had it 13 years and when I got it I didn't know anything about diamonds and didn't really care. Ha ha. How things change! I'll have to have my husband find the specs on it. I never thought about getting the same color stones for the band. :)

There are so many band styles I like but most of them are online and it makes it way harder to decide. I went with the hubby to our "usual" local jeweler and I couldn't find anything I liked. I tend to like things that are simple/unique as opposed to flashy/bold.

I really think you'll have to visit more jewelry stores to try on different style bands to see what might work. My first inclination is to say that it is going to be very hard to find something that really works well with your rings. I'd probably go for a 5 stone diamond band to wear on the right hand instead. But try some on and take pics and then come back. It's hard to visualize otherwise.

I went to our local jeweler last night again with a new mindset based off your recommendation, and get something that would work better as a right hand ring. So instead of trying on runs on my left hand with my ring I started trying them all on my right hand ring finger, and I loved them so much more. I think hubby is glad I'm not going to be "changing" my original wedding set by adding another band to it. He is very sentimental, moreso than me. :)

The one I keep coming back to is this one. See attached image. I don't know the total carat weight or other specs, but our jeweler is the most reputable in our area, and it looks great to me. The regular price is $1300 but it won't cost that cause it's always "on sale" at jewelry stores. :) The only thing I'm hesitant about is I'm finding some similar rings online (blue Nile, idjewelry) that are almost full eternity for the same price.

Do you have a budget that you are trying to keep to? I love this style. VC makes an amazing version of this ring too but I am pretty sure it is more than $1300. Never hurts to ask for a quote though. He has the best Pave anything. Please ignore me if you posted budget earlier. I just read the last post and am responding.

Ignore me. It’s a lot different than the one you posted.

I think Neil Lane and/or Vera Wang has ones like that through Kay.

Yes I really like that one from blue Nile too! Does anyone have experience purchasing from them?

The nice thing about buying local though is we have a very trusted jeweler. I'd much rather give them the business and it's also easier to have it cleaned and checked as opposed to having to mail it in on occasion. But I do like the full eternity too.

Also I think the loops might be just a little bigger on the BN band, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but without trying it on in person it's so hard to know.

I've been scouring Etsy too but a lot of sellers with this type of band I'm not fully confident in.

It looks pretty - I don’t know, hard to judge the quality of the melee from a pic and I’m not familiar with this seller. there’s a return policy so you could check it out for yourself.

I own a BN band and the quality is very nice, the melee are clear and sparkly. I understand what you’re saying about the loops and I can see how you would prefer one look over the other. If you’re wearing the ring by itself the larger loops might give you more hand presence though.

You can always use a local jeweler to check and clean jewelry purchased on line, no reason to mail a piece back for that. That said, if you’re more comfortable working with a local jeweler that’s fine!

I know it’s not exactly what you’re looking for but close...
This band is absolutely stunning though! I bought one, and just ordered a second one yesterday. It’s delicate, but the diamonds are a beautiful white, and it really is a great addition to my rings!

It’s the one above the channel set wedding band. This isn’t a great picture, but the quality of diamonds in the Neil Lane band is better than those in all of my rings, so it really makes my set sparkle!

Thank you everyone, I totally appreciate each response and product recommendation, etc! I think I'm just going to have to send them all to my husband and just say "surprise me" ha ha, cause ultimately it will be special if he picks it out. I just want to make sure I point him the right direction. Lol. In my mind it's going to be an every day piece for me to wear, like my wedding ring and diamond studs, so maybe I'm concerning myself too much with it being a full eternity for comfort sake. I just don't want to regret a style choice.

I'll definitely share when/if I ever get one. Lol. I'm always open to suggestions.

Oh I like the bluenile full eternity. I’ve purchased from them before too. Easy and had great customer service. I even had to exchange it because I needed a different size and that was an easy process.

I wouldn’t give too many options to dh. Just the option you want the most. Or maybe top two.

I guess I'm a wet blanket/lead balloon/debbie downer, bc I just don't really like the right hand ring you said you're liking. I don't think it has a lot of umph for a RHR, and seems kinda trendy - also, I prefer full eternities. I actually like the first band you showed. I'd be curious if the diamonds are the size of the small diamonds on your ER. If it were I, I'd order it and try it with my set - it IS returnable. Just my 2 cents.

That's fine @motownmama I respect that you don't really like the style as a right hand ring. I really do like it though. I still very much admire that first band as well. :)

Hi ladyonthelake!

Not to complicate the issue, but if you don't find precisely what you want, you can always choose to go custom.

Well I've decided I'm going to give hubby 2 choices that I'd be thrilled with either way. One is the eternity twist ring for my right hand, the other is the "bubble and breathe" eternity band from Etsy. I keep going back to really liking that one and I found a cheap ring to try on for looks, and I really like it!!! Even with it being a straight band and there being a gap between it. I think that makes me like it even more, actually

And please ignore my it's-the-middle-of-winter-in-mn hands. Lol

I love the one you have on there in the picture!

I think that looks very flattering with your set. Very pretty!

Thank you @AprilBaby and @Bonfire! This band in the picture is just a cheap fashion ring. In fact, it's on a flexible metal band, but it's the closest thing I could find in person to try and get the bubble and breathe band look like the ring I'm eyeing on Etsy.

I just wanted to say that I love your set! It's unique and looks great on you.
