All I know is that this ring is from the depression era (~193
and originates from Milan, Italy.
The stones are said to be diamonds, but they are obviously cut very roughly. Was that normal for that era, with the hard economic times?
We were also told that the double "C" embellishments are a Cartier signature. Is there any substance to this?
The actual ring part (from "CC" to "CC") was later replaced. The original hallmarks indicated 18ct gold, as would be typical for Italy. Details of the hallmarks are not known.
Would you have any historical insights to this kind of ring? Anything you know would be appreciated. Thank you.
